+# How to setup ssh-keys to authenticte with a linux server
+
+Step1:
+create new Key (Skip this step if you want to use an existing key)
+```
+ssh-keygen
+```
+
+Step2:
+Upload the Key
+```
+ssh-copy-id -i <path to key> <user@host>
+```
+
+Step3:
+edit ~/.ssh/config.
+Add the following lines
+```
+Host <hostname>
+    HostName <hostname>
+    User <user>
+    IdentityFile <path to key>
+    IdentitiesOnly yes
+
+```
+
+You should be able to login now.
